The
Department of California Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH),
USA, Inc. has developed this website to serve our members, promote
patriotism and assist all veterans and the public with information
about our Order, the programs we offer and the assistance we seek
to provide to all veterans of this great nation.
Members may log onto
the national website, "purpleheart.org" and view the many
programs and information supplied by MOPH.
Chapter information
is available to our members, combat wounded veterans wishing to
join our organization and the public seeking local information.
Because our members
are all combat wounded veterans we understand the needs of all veterans
with similar circumstance and the unique needs associated with the
traumas of war. Our National Service Program can assist with all
matters dealing with VA claims, both new and those claims that require
review.
Through a variety of
programs and activities our members and their chapters continue
to serve our communities and the nation. Our members and the Ladies
Auxiliary volunteer many hours at both VA hospitals and clinics
and assist VA patients through our Service, Welfare Rehabilitation
(SWR) programs. Scholarships are available from many chapters.
Of great concern to
our members are the activities we involve ourselves with to promote
patriotism. Our military award has its roots with General George
Washington. Ours was the first such award designed for the enlisted
citizen soldier. The history is a powerful story with actions by
many heroes and patriots from this nations' proud history. We love
our country and do not hide that fact. Please look through this
site for activities within your community.
We look forward to your
comments on this site and the information made available. |
